I want to work with teens, urban teens.
You are okay, you will be okay, you can make mistakes, you can change your mind, you can make a different decision, you can be your best self, not everyone will like you, it doesn't matter, by being your true self, you will find those to love you, you will be able to find your own niche and your friends, who will love you for being yourself.

Honey, tell me about your day today.
What made it special, what made you happyl what did you do that made you feel good about yourself? This is a good life. Mostly because we get to do a lot of stuff. some of it will be easy, some challenging, some inspriring, satisfying, and some just plain fun.
The point is not to get things perfect. The point is too be open to each day, to see what's around you, to create, build, and value the bonds you have with others, to evaluate and take smart risks, to share the credit, and to give yourself permission to make mistakes. It's important to find others to love and to find the love inside of you to reach out to those who may seem unlovable. It is the loving and caring that make a difference, that allows you to see others, the energy you put into them. Also, honey, jsut put enewrgy ointo youself. Be sure to nurture yourself, to cutivate your interests, try new things, and to take care of yourself over and during your life. find creative ways to express and reveal yourself. Make your mark, since this is your chance to do this. And I love you not becauseyou are perfect, ,but because you are pefectly you.
Afterthought.
You will be fine.
I'm sure of it.

You dont know who your child is....
Your memories are erased from when you are a child or teen.
You had to learn how to deal w their invisibility.

Little Judy
This is the Little Judy, the orphan inside.
I am hearing the panic of the others on the phone, echoing my own, worrying about doing the right thing, panicked that Barbara-mommy won't be there, scared I can't do it right, scared that I will lose the attachment, the connection, or not have the connection i crave so badly.
I am shocked at the leap of faith that it takes to hang up the phone while I do this writing. Again, the loss of connection, the fear of abandonment, the terror of being without a lifeline, taking something on faith, being in freefall.
Memories-- the loneliness of being left on busy Hertel Avenue, near a buidling iwth yellow bricks, actually pushed out of the car, when I was able to stand and walk, but not understand. Feeling bewildered. Seeing a man walk toward me, being aware of his height and my shortness, haivng to look way up at him, not anyone I kn ew, asking me if I was okay. My 2-3 year old self reassured HiM, that I was all right, that my mother was just driving around the block and that I was sure she would come back for me. She came back, but what was all that adult anger about? How bad can a 2-3 year old be?
Worrying that my mother would never come out of the hospital, seing her in teh window when I was 2, worrying that my granndmother would disappear, be swallowed by the hospital's giant mouth of an elevator.
Why doesn't anyone love me? take care of me, delight in me, listen to me? help me feel valued and safe? Who is supposed to do it? Where are they? Where am I and where am i supposed to me?
